The chandelier was purchased in Paris and weighed in at 400 kilos - a metric conversion that was unfortunately overlooked during the process of building Candy Bar. The multi-tiered piece features 670 individual pieces of glass and proved a particular challenge to install. One of Candy Bar’s more striking elements is the hulking glass chandelier that looms over the curved marble bar top. The sconces are from Italy circa the 1950s and assorted decorations on the back bar are from the 1980s. Sadly the high manufacturing costs caught up with them. Each bite was like a whole new candy bar filled with another sweet surprise. Depending on availability the flavors consisted of brazil nut, buttercream, butterscotch, caramel, cherry, coconut, fudge, mint, nougat and orange. Kinda like life, this bar was like a box of chocolates, except it was all rolled into one neat dark chocolate package.
